Moore Norman Technology Center Board of Education President Glen Cosper is pleased to announce that Brian Ruttman has been selected as the school’s new superintendent, succeeding Jane Bowen who announced her retirement earlier this year. The board voted unanimously to approve Ruttman’s appointment at the regular board meeting held May 16, 2019.
“The board believes that Brian exhibits the qualities we are looking for in the next leader of Moore Norman Technology Center,” said Cosper. “His years of experience and track record of success in the Oklahoma CareerTech system, specifically at Metro Technology Centers, exhibit the character, integrity, and vision needed to keep MNTC moving in a positive direction.”
Brian Ruttman has been employed at Metro Technology Centers in Oklahoma City since 2003, most recently serving in the position of Associate Superintendent, Business and Operational Systems.
Beginning July 1, Bowen and Ruttman will work together to ensure a smooth transition into the 2019-20 school year. Bowen’s retirement is effective August 10.
The MNTC Board of Education conducted the search for a new superintendent with assistance from the Oklahoma State School Boards Association.
