Our keynote speakers are Lacie Lowry, news anchor, and Lacey Swope, meteorologist, of News 9 in Oklahoma City.

Thank you to presenting sponsor First United Bank.

General membership luncheons are hosted by the Moore Chamber of Commerce six times a year and provide informative presentations and expert speakers on topics of significance and trends in the business community. The first two luncheons of the year (February and April) are open-topic presentations. Our Military Appreciation Luncheon is in May, Legislative Summit is in June, State of the City Luncheon is in July, and State of the Schools Luncheon is in October.

About Lacie Lowry

You can watch Lacie Lowry weekdays on News 9 This Morning from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and on News 9 at 9 a.m.

Oklahoma has become a beloved second home for Lacie. She is an Emmy award-winning journalist from Rockwall, Texas, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Baylor University. She started her career at KTXS-TV in Abilene, Texas, as the 6 p.m. anchor, then worked as the morning anchor at KGBT-TV in Harlingen, Texas. In 2010, Lacie joined the Griffin Communications family and became the weekend anchor at News On 6 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She stayed with the company when she moved down the turnpike to News 9 in OKC three years later. She has covered everything from tornadoes, wildfires and hurricanes to high-profile crimes, murder confessions and human interest stories.

Lacie spends much of her time outside of television working with non-profits and serving on various community panels. She also loves hunting and fishing in the Oklahoma outdoors, and spending time with her two rescue dogs.

About Lacey Swope

Lacey is an Okie through and through. She grew up in the small town of Kiefer.

Growing up, Lacey was always fascinated with the sky, lightning, hail, and yes, tornadoes. Most of her life she knew what she wanted to do when she grew up. She wanted to be a meteorologist so she could study the atmosphere every day and share her passion for weather with others.

Lacey attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned her bachelor's degree in meteorology and minored in both broadcast journalism and mathematics. While attending OU, she seized every opportunity she could. Lacey was a forecaster for OWL, worked part-time for CIMMS, did research on an NSF grant focusing on solar panels in Oklahoma, worked shifts at OU Nightly, worked part-time for IT, was a member of the OU chapter of AMS, and she interned at NEWS9. Lacey was on the president’s & dean’s honor roll and graduated with distinction in May of 2010.

Lacey's first job landed her in Sioux City, IA where she became the weekday morning meteorologist on KMEG 14. While at KMEG, she forecasted for the tri-state area of South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa. Lacey covered everything from blizzards to droughts, floods, and tornadoes - including the April 9, 2011 tornado that destroyed 60% of the town of Mapleton, IA.

After her time away, Lacey made it back to Oklahoma joining the News 9 weather team in 2011.
