Course Description: There are numerous tax implications to consider when implementing a remote workforce, let alone implementing a remote workforce in different countries. Given the complicated issues and potential penalties related to international reporting, understanding the many issues working remotely can create for individuals and employers is essential. 

Learning Objectives: 

  • Explore individual tax and other implications from working in a foreign country. 
  • Define employer tax and other implications from having a global remote workforce. 
  • Summarize the importance of implementing policies and procedures to manage your global remote workforce. 

Presenters: 

Jared Johnson, EA, Principal, Director of Global Mobility Services | Eide Baill

Jared is an international tax specialist who focuses on helping company clients manage the various domestic and international tax issues that come with moving employees across international borders to work. Jared also assists individual clients with cross-border issues related to tax/estate planning and compliance services. He has experience working for the Big Four and is a recognized leader in this field. 

Lukasz Los, EA, Senior Manager in Global Mobility Services | Eide Bailly 

Lukasz assists his clients in managing tax administrative activities associates with movement of their employees cross-border; he helps his clients to stay in compliance with international tax rules when working abroad as well as in US so they can focus on growing their business and not tax forms. Lukasz started his career in Big 4 where he gained experience with large as well as small expatriate programs.
