Moore Chamber launches new support local program

The Moore Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a new support local campaign for Moore area businesses. The Make It Moore.Biz year-long discount program will benefit local shoppers, businesses, young fundraising enthusiasts and the entire community.

“The past few years have changed the way people shop and think about shopping, with many of us now being more conscious about the decisions we make on spending and travel,” said Kim Brown, president/CEO of the Moore Chamber of Commerce. “So, we decided to launch this campaign to remind area residents and visitors of how important it is to do business and to shop locally.”

Any company that does business in the Moore or the surrounding area is eligible to be part of the discount program and may join at Make It Moore.Biz anytime throughout the year. The cost for businesses to join is $50 for Moore Chamber members and $100 for non-members. Businesses who sign up before Jan. 31, 2023, will receive half price for the inaugural year. Businesses will receive a “Make it” decal to put in their store window to make shoppers aware they are participating in the program.

Participating businesses may provide special deals and discounts for shoppers, which will be displayed on the business’s & Make it Moore.Biz online directory listings, and on the Make it Facebook page. Also, participating businesses may purchase the Make it discount cards from the Moore Chamber at half-price at $7.50, and then sell to shoppers at full price of $15.

Discount cards will be for sale to patrons for $15 at the Moore Chamber, 305 W Main St, or at most of the participating businesses (see individual business’s listing). In addition, students and other non-profit organizations may purchase cards in bulk at half price to sell at full price for fundraising opportunities.

“We realize it will take some time to build ‘Make it Moore’ into a successful program, so this is an on-going, year-long effort of keeping dollars local and supporting the community,” added Brown.

Sponsors for the Make it discount program are Moore Norman Technology Center and Armstrong Bank.
