Solar Power of Oklahoma announces 11 new hires
Hiring continues as demand for solar power increases
Increased demand for solar power has prompted locally owned business Solar Power of Oklahoma (SPO) to increase staffing. The company announced the hire of 11 new employees today, including additional members of its installation team and administrative professionals.
Edgar Ramirez joins the team as a certified installer and electrician/journeyman, while David Gaeta, Twan Jones, Jesse McGrath, Tyler Robinson and Noriel Ruiz will work as journeyman’s apprentices to fulfill SPO’s commitment to providing in-house installation services.
Sam Bogard, scheduling agent, McKenna Harris, front desk associate, and Jackson Winn, project coordinator, will oversee internal coordination, ultimately benefiting customers through expedited services. Matthew Peterson has also been hired as a warehouse associate. Reese Ferris will serve as marketing coordinator at SPO’s headquarters.
Solar Power of Oklahoma is among the Journal Record’s 2022 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma. A Tulsa facility and an Oklahoma City-area showroom opened earlier this year.
“Our commitment to excellence is evident in all we do. Increasing staff levels in critical areas is a key component to continuing to offer the outstanding services our customers know they can count on for solar power as a vital service,” said SPO President J.W. Peters. “From developing optimal business culture for our more than 65 employees in Oklahoma City and Tulsa to offering opportunities for advancement, we are proud to contribute to local job creation.”
Solar Power of Oklahoma has consistently reported year-over-year growth, with a 275% increase in system installations since 2021, as more electric vehicle owners seek low-cost charging options and concerns over traditional utility rate hikes contribute to demand.
Founded in 2017, Solar Power of Oklahoma is fully owned and operated in Oklahoma. The company’s solar advisors work with home and business owners to custom-design solar systems, which are then installed by SPO installers. Solar Power has installed more than 2,500 solar energy systems for customers throughout Oklahoma. Learn more at www.solarpowerok.com.
